How therapy may be approached

Therapy approaches Danielle draws from

Danielle uses an individualized, connection-oriented approach rather than applying the same method to everyone. Depending on your needs and goals, the work may draw from somatic therapy, EMDR, motivational interviewing, cognitive approaches, and therapies designed for trauma, crisis, or young children and caregivers.

Background

Experience Danielle brings

Somatic therapy and EMDR

Somatic therapy brings attention to physical sensations, grounding, and the ways stress may show up in the body alongside thoughts and emotions.

Danielle has completed EMDR training and currently uses EMDR with clients. She is not yet EMDR certified and is completing the remaining supervision requirements for certification.

Motivational and cognitive approaches

Motivational interviewing can support reflection on change without judgment or pressure. Danielle may also draw from cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) and trauma-focused CBT (TF-CBT) to explore connections among thoughts, feelings, and actions.

Strengths, connection, and early childhood

Strengths-based and person-centered approaches make your experience, values, and existing capacities part of the work. Child-Parent Psychotherapy may be relevant when supporting infants and young children ages 0 to 5 together with a parent or caregiver.

Crisis-focused care

Danielle may draw from the Collaborative Assessment and Management of Suicidality (CAMS) when it fits the clinical situation. Website forms and email are not monitored for emergencies: call 911 if you are in immediate danger, or call or text 988 for crisis support.
